Complete Set 3-on-a-plate open gears!!
SOLID PEGHEAD strip tuners !!
Offering the rare ORIGINAL SET of prewar strip tuners shown in the photos. As the photos show this is a complete set of original nickel plated brass open gear 3-on-a-plate strip tuners with original yellowed plastic buttons. This original set was likely from a 30s Sovereign , Stella or National guitar but were used on loads of vintage American-made flattops with SOLID pegheads (not slotted or "open" peghead). They could possibly be Waverly made but are not marked at all. Plates measure 4 1/8" long and 11/16" wide. String posts extend a full 1 1/16" from plates with string hole located near the top of the post. Posts are 1 3/8" center to center. Good set with original tips. D string has a very slight bend in the button shaft...nothing disturbing at all and could be straightened. Great opportunity to get that ol flattop back to correct.
Hopefully this is a good opportunity to get your cherished old guitar right. Tuners are completely operative with correct amount of drag. Fine set as shown..
