Welcome. This original 10 3/4" TUBAPHONE banjo pot assembly shown in these photos would make a great old timey banjo. It's all original and the original dowel stick was retained so the numbers match and the integrity of the pot is maintained for posterity sake...not an "orphan" pot. Dowel stick tenon remains the same size, dimensions and profile as when factory assembled....

This is a genuine prewar Fairbanks-Vega TUBAPHONE style M pot with original (old-style) 2-point shoes, neck brace, endbolt and dowel stick ferrule. Added a new Remo head that is taut and great sounding. Mostly original heavily tarnished steel hooks and closed end nuts intact...If you've ever watched that annual dog show on Thanksgiving with your mixed breed rescue dog by your side thinking sure your buddy might never enjoy the thrill of winning such a competition but to you he's at least as good as any of those well groomed pure-breds on that TV. Here's a tubaphone that, like my mutt, has had some rough road and will never win a beauty competition. Still, despite the rough plating and wear this ol gal is ready to bring some good vibes to that right someone who can live with the wounds and wear and find something that just might not be available with a show piece.....we'll call it a "rescue" tubaphone...thinking the plating might come around with some cleaning and buffing but this is definitely a "lot" dog and not a "show" dog...bargain priced and ready for the neck of your choice!! If you're looking at this you may already be hip to the fact that NOTHING sounds quite like an original TUBAPHONE...If not this is great opportunity to find out what all the fuss is about...
