Vintage 11" banjo pot w/screw-on flush fit back
I'm offering the original Vintage 11" complete banjo pot
assembly shown in these photos. It bears no maker's name but is a very well made, multi-ply maple rim with
dark rim cap and screw-on flush fit back. As you can see, this original 11" pot is nice and tidy retaining original hardware. Rim thickness is
about 9/16" and rim depth looks like 2 1/2" not counting resonator (2 3/4" including resonator)
Appropriately, the original dowel stick was retained so the integrity of the pot is maintained for posterity sake.... Dowel stick tenon is
unmodified.
This is a nice fresh lightweight vintage pot and ALL parts are original...hex shoes, neck brace with wood inserts, endbolt, sturdy tension hoop as well as
the matching hooks and Bacon-style nuts. The original nickel plating is fair and it has a neat old calfskin 11" head that is intact and sounds great with the
added bonus of a lovely hand-painted flapper covering most of the top surface.
This is an all wood rim with nicely smoothed and contoured dark wood rim cap. It's neat with the quick-mount screw-on resonator to give a few interesting
tone variations.
