1930s strip tuner set for SLOTTED peghead

Offering the rare ORIGINAL SET of prewar strip tuners shown in the photos. As the photos show this is a complete set of original nickel plated brass open gear 3-on-a-plate strip tuners with original yellowed plastic buttons. These are early tuners with GEAR ON TOP of the turning post. This means they work correctly when installed with gears on top. This original set was likely from a 30s Sovereign , Stella or National guitar but were used on loads of vintage American-made flattops with SLOTTED or "OPEN" pegheads (not solid pegheads). They are not marked at all. Set includes original mounting screws as shown. Plates measure 4" long and 5/8" wide. String posts extend a full 1" from plates with string hole located in the middle of the post. Posts are 1 3/8" center to center. Good set with original tips.. Hopefully this is a good opportunity to get your cherished old guitar right. Tuners are completely operative with correct amount of drag. Fine set as shown.. $125.
